Works under general supervision. Collects and organizes information required for preparation of documents, training materials, guides, and job aids. Develops high-quality documentation that is easy-to-understand, easy to use, and meets the objectives and goals for the intended audience. Must utilize strong writing, editing, and communication skills to analyze and present complex information in a format that is easy to read and understand. Works with teams and process owners to obtain an in-depth understanding of process and technical information, documentation content, and requirements.


  • Work with Training Specialist, Engineering, Production Management and subject matter experts to define and develop  training curriculum
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop in-person on-the-job training modules, e-learning and self-paced training curriculum and content, including:
    • Storyboarding and scripting
    • Creation of eLearning, video, instructor led/on-the-job training content and support aids as needed leveraging existing materials where possible
    • Validate all training materials with subject matter experts
  • Administer, Coordinate, and Monitor the delivery of the training curriculum
    • Conduct training evaluations to identify training success and areas of improvement
    • Administer assessments to determine employee training needs
    • Assist with administration of the company's learning management system. Maintain systems, create user profiles, input training schedules, manage transcript reporting, etc.
  • Develops diagrams, charts, graphs, illustrations and/or videos that increase the user's understanding of the subject matter.
  • Develops quick reference guides and step-by-step job aids for end user staff.
  • Develops student exercises for hands-on practice during on-the-job training and proficiency assessments for training milestones.
  • Maintain curriculum materials and regularly review and update curriculum and content based on changing business needs and process/procedure changes



  • Provides technical edits to engineering and quality management system documents, manuals, or any other documents or presentations as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accountability, self-starter
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills with technical and production staff as well as management
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate communications about progress and issues
  • Ability to manage time well to meet project milestones
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet multiple priorities, critical deadlines, and shifting training needs



  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • One or more years of experience documenting process steps such as creating training materials, quick reference guides, or work instruction documents. Direct experience in Manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft PowerPoint required
  • Experience producing effective e-learning modules and learning management system administration a plus
  • Strong graphical / video production skills are a plus
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
